Best Sports Event of the Year

This category is open to those who have hosted or organized a major sporting event. Here we have one of SPIA’s most hotly contested new categories, which recognizes the efforts and success of a major sporting event. Judges will be looking for ways in which the event proved a success, from the number of attendees, the quality of the sport on show, the global recognition, and the importance of the event to the sporting calendar.

The event must operate in one or more of the following Middle Eastern countries: United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and or Syria between 1st January 2023 – 31st December 2023.

Entries are welcome from sporting leagues, associations, academies, schools, other educational establishments and charities.
