SPIA Awards Night & Gala Dinner Media Policy

This media accreditation policy applies exclusively to individuals and organizations seeking access to SPIA Awards Night & Gala Dinner on May 20, 2025 at Space 42 Arena, Abu Dhabi for the purpose of capturing content, including but not limited to photography, videography, and interviews. Accreditation is granted for on-site content capture only and does not authorize the publication, broadcast, or any form of content usage. Separate approvals must be obtained for the distribution or commercial use of any captured material.

Purpose

This policy outlines the standards, expectations, and permissions for all journalists, photographers, videographers, and media crews covering SPIA 2025. It ensures a safe, professional, and consistent environment aligned with the values of the Sport Industry Awards.

Accreditation & Access

  • All media personnel must be pre-approved and accredited.
  • Media passes are non-transferable and must be worn visibly at all times.
  • Access is granted based on zones:
    • No Access Zones: Backstage, production control, big photowall, in front of stage, near VIP zone, Arena entrance.
    • Access Zones:

Outside (Registration and networking area)

Filming & Photography

  • Filming of stage proceedings, including awards presentations, is allowed only by staying in allowed zones or from the table.
  • Priority for capturing content is given to event organisers.
  • All drone footage is prohibited.

Interviews

  • All interviews with nominees, winners, or VIPs are not allowed

Code of Conduct

Media personnel must:

  • Respect the privacy and space of all guests, especially nominees and high-profile attendees.
  • Dress in formal attire in line with event expectations.
  • Not publish or share content that may portray SPIA or any of its partners, sponsors, or guests in a defamatory or unprofessional manner.

Content Usage & Ownership

  • SPIA reserves the right to request any content captured at the event for use in official coverage, post-event promos, or archival purposes (with credits where applicable).
  • Use of the SPIA logo, partner branding, or official stage design in commercial media productions must be pre-approved.

Breach of Policy

Any breach of this policy may result in:

  • Immediate removal from the event
  • Revocation of media credentials
  • Blacklisting from future SPIA editions
