Youth Event of the Year

Description

Applicants must demonstrate a youth-focused sports event delivered during the 2025 eligibility period, designed to engage, inspire, and support the development of young participants through sport, education, or physical activity. Entries should clearly define the event’s objectives, target audiences, activities, and delivery format, while providing evidence of safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate programming.

Submissions must highlight innovation, quality of experience, and operational excellence, as well as collaboration with schools, federations, clubs, parents, coaches, or community organizations. Judges will also consider measurable outcomes, such as participant growth, skill development, or positive feedback, supported by testimonials from participants, parents, educators, partners, or stakeholders validating the event’s impact and long-term legacy.

Judging Criteria

Judges will evaluate the clarity of the event’s objectives and strategy, and how effectively they address the developmental, physical, and educational needs of youth participants. Assessment will include the quality and originality of the event design and experience, ensuring programming is engaging, creative, and age-appropriate.

Consideration will be given to execution and operational excellence, including professional planning, logistics, and seamless delivery, alongside strict adherence to safeguarding and safety standards, supported by documented child protection policies and emergency protocols.

Judges will also assess reach, diversity, and inclusivity, with attention to accessibility across backgrounds and abilities, as well as the strength of stakeholder collaboration with schools, federations, parents, and community partners.

Finally, measurable development outcomes will be reviewed, including data-backed evidence of participation growth or skill development, alongside innovation and long-term legacy through scalability, sustainability, and lasting community impact.
