Sport Education and Training Programme

This award recognizes an outstanding educational or training initiative that has made a significant impact on the sports industry or athletic development within the Middle East. Eligible programs—including those targeting athletes, coaches, schools, or workforce development—will be evaluated on their ability to deliver a robust curriculum that fosters skill acquisition, professional growth, and academic or vocational excellence. Judges will consider the programme’s achievements over the past year, looking for evidence of a high-performance learning environment, expert instruction, and a commitment to professionalizing the regional sports landscape.

Key considerations include the programme’s strategic approach to curriculum design, the qualifications of its educators, and its success in creating sustainable pathways for participants. Judges will also look for evidence of innovation in training methodologies, collaboration with industry bodies, and a commitment to ethical standards in education. Submissions should highlight measurable outcomes, such as graduation rates and post-programme progression, supported by participation data and testimonials that validate the programme’s role in developing the next generation of sports talent and professionals.

The organization must have delivered the programme in one or more of the following Middle Eastern countries: UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and/or Syria between 1st January 2025 – 31st December 2025.

Judging Criteria

Judges will evaluate the quality and relevance of the programme curriculum in supporting sport development, including clear learning outcomes and demonstrable skills progression. Consideration will be given to accessibility and inclusivity, as well as geographic reach, whether through local expansion or multi-region delivery.

Entries should demonstrate a measurable contribution to the long-term growth of sports knowledge in the region. Additional recognition will be given to programmes affiliated with government entities that provide officially attested diplomas or certifications.
